Beauty and The Bible: The Musicale

Finding 10 beautiful, talented women of the faith is no easy task.  Since they represent Bible icons that we have grown to love, casting had to be specific with regard to their personality, singing style and beauty. Here they are in alphabetical order:

Faith Roanne Caronan as “Tamar”
Faith started singing as a young girl and was a member of the Village Baptist Church Junior Choir at the age of 5. Believing that music is the universal language of the soul, by God’s grace, she continues to sing and share His message of love and hope as part of The Great Commission Church of Jesus Christ’s praise and worship team. Aside from her involvements in church, Faith also performs with one of the country’s most formidable choirs, the University of the Philippines Singing Ambassadors (http://upsa2009.weebly.com/). Vida Curray as “Abigail”
Whenever Vida spends time with her family, friends and colleagues, performs her job doing collections for a bank, writes her thoughts, leads worship and sings to a crowd or strikes a conversation with a stranger…her goal is to lead her listeners to think about what is good and what is right; to think about the love of God. This is how she gives thanks and praise to Jesus. She is defined by her faith and identified for her voice for worship. Christina Maris Juan as “Rachel”
Ninna is a 23-year old interior designer from Imus Cavite. She grew up in and is still currently attending and serving in Imus Unida Christian Church as a discipleship group and worship leader. She believes that Jesus does put songs in our hearts, and our response should be to sing it back to Him with everything we’ve got. Aika Licudan as “Keren, Daughter of Job”
Aika is the youngest at 10 years old. She has been involved with several ministries in CCF and is part of the NXTGen Kids Choir. She is currently enrolled in a homeschool program.

Hiyas Neri as “Esther”
While learning the ropes of acting, singing and fashion design, Yas keeps her head up and pursues her passion with much gusto. Aside from being a clothing technology student at the University of the Philippines, she is also a model, painter, designer and actress. A talent of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic, Yas has appeared in several TV and print ads, teleseryes (more notably as the spunky “Sophia” in “The Wedding”) and music videos. Micaela Pineda as “Rebekah”
Mica Pineda is no stranger to the stage, she’s been performing eversince she was twelve and will continue to do so for the rest of her life. She is a member of Trumpets and Dulaang UP and has acted for other theater companies. Mica is ecstatic to be part of something that uses the arts to give glory to God. “At the end of it all, I want to hear `Well done.’ from the audience of One”.

Imee Suarez as “Jemimah, Daughter of Job”
Imee started loving theatre during her highschool years. She has played the roles of Mimi in Rent, Carlotta in Phantom of the opera and Sarabi in Lion King. She’s been passionate in writing songs and playing the guitar for God’s glory. She is currently working at Teletech and by God’s grace and also faithfully serving Christ through the CCF’s Life to the Max and Music Ministry.

Jenny Talam as “Keziah, Daughter of Job”
Jenny is a 15-year old high school senior who loves to sing for the Lord in musicales, choirs, competitions, bathrooms– everywhere! She has been singing since 3; reciting in competitions since 8 and taking part in musicales since 10. After her encounter with her beautiful Savior in 2005, she continues to sing praises and speak His Word so that many beautiful men and women will join her in chorus in Heaven one day.

Lyz Tiongson as “Sarah”
Lyz is a member of the CCF choir and has been happily serving the Lord in church for its regular and special events. She loves jamming with her choir buddies and singer friends in weddings, retreats and corporate functions. Beauty and the Bible is her first try in a musicale and is blessed with the opportunity using the talent her Lord gifted her. Apart from being a freelance real estate agent, she also teaches voice to choirs in small churches where she sometimes worship leads.

Shanda Lim-Uy as “Abigail”
After years of being in the limelight, Shanda continues to charm her way into the hearts of audiences as a professional host. For weddings, as in other events, her extensive background in the arts coupled with an active and well-organized mind allows her to adapt to any situation that comes her way with proficiency that is guaranteed to put your mind at ease. As for her soothing voice, it’s nothing short of amazing. She is also one of the founding members of The Covenant Singers. Check out her website at http://shandalim.multiply.com.
